I am just starting link building efforts on our site.  Do URL Shorteners hurt my link building efforts?  I use Twitter a lot and have to shorten the URL's.  Also, I like to shorten them to remove tracking codes that I want to embed in the URL.  Please advise.

B2B Search Marketing: 5 Must-Read Tips

http://www.toprankblog.com

Search marketing should be a top priority for organizations in any industry. But B2B search marketing efforts take a slightly different form than the tactics used in consumer focused SEO and PPC programs . SEOmoz | What Makes a Link Worthy Post - Part 1

http://www.seomoz.org

I was recently inspired by a post by MikeTek, Examining the Top 150 In-Linked Posts at SEOmoz. While the information was very informative, it was taken from a limited sample of the over 3,800 post on SEOmoz. Along with the small sample size, the data was not proportional to other categories and posts.

How to Develop an SEO Link Building Strategy That Delivers the Goods

http://www.winningtheweb.com

Links are king when it comes to SEO. A Case Study: Using Contests To Build Links

http://searchengineland.com

It’s common knowledge that certain markets are harder to build links for than others. How can I obtain inbound links even though my site doesn't have any 'weight'

 Hi,

I am just starting in my efforts to promote my site and understand the importance of a strong and ongoing link building campaign.  In that spirit, I am curious to get some insight on how to build such, whereas since I am so new, I really cannot offer a lot of 'weight' or 'seo credit' in return.

Any help is a great big help!

Many thanks,

Aaron
