Yes, Technorati's Blog directory is a good place to start.
Once you find a few blogs you like, check to see if the bloggers have posted a blog-roll (a list of blogs they follow). Check out some of those too. Pay special attention to blogs that show up on multiple blog-rolls - those are usually really good ones to follow.
I would visit the Technorati.com Blog Directory. Technorati provides a directory of blogs by category and ranks them according to Authority rankings. They also provide a listing of the current Top 100 Blogs which is updated daily.
