More than 10% of traffic to our company blog comes from twitter. I think that Twitter is not a replacement for blogging, but a compliment to it - it helps promote your blog content and spread it around.

Actually, the first time I read this article was via a tweet referring me to the webiste. I thought that was ironic keeping in mind the nature of the question. I think my experience sheds light to the actual reality--Twitter is growing but not at the expense of blogs.
More often than not, followers tweet URLs that lead to blog posts, photos and online articles. In this sense, Twitter encourages blogging. With a word limit up to 140 characters, the only thing tweets can kill are the blogs'/articles' headlines.
