Read more »For my past couple of clients I have been using Google's Keyword Tool (https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal) as my primary source for keywords. However, sometimes the numbers don't seem to match up to other keyword websites. For example, when I broad search for "how to get into school" it shows a global average volume of 22,000 per month and no competition. When I phrase search for the same keyword the volume is 210 per month. However, on sites like Semrush.com and Trellian's Keyword discovery tool they give much lower numbers.
